ASEAN Young Socialpreneurs Program 2015: Amalan Joining Jury Of Social Entrepreneurship Competition

Yogyakarta, September 16th 2015 – The ASEAN Young Socialpreneurs competition 2015, which is taking place at Universitas Gadja Mada in Yogyakarta, will count two of amalan international's leaders as part of the jury. Arne Hartmann, amalan's founder and CEO, and Jonathan Chang who is representing Singapore Management University and is also the Director of Public Relations at amalan,  will serve as judges for the Grand Final of the Social Entrepreneurship Competition on September 18-19th 2015.

The ASEAN Young Socialpreneurs Program 2015, is an annual one week social entrepreneurship event held by the Global Engagement Office at Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta. The event marks the finals of a business plan competition for social entrepreneurs across all ASEAN countries, whose goal is to build sustainable businesses that contribute to the social and economic development of the region.

Over the next 4 days, this young and international group of entrepreneurial college students will not only participate in the social entrepreneurship competition but also benefit from workshops on social entrepreneurship, visits to social enterprises, and a cultural program. The Global Engagement Office at Universitas Gadjah Mada, wants to provide an opportunity for young entrepreneurs to compete and learn from each other, network and generate business ideas that are economically feasible and at the same time help the development of their communities.

"It is an honor to join this panel of distinguished professors to evaluate the business plans and presentations of ASEAN's best social business ideas of 2015." says Arne Hartmann. With more than a decade of working experience in entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, growth investment and mentoring of young people from different cultures, both Mr. Hartmann and Mr. Chang hope to contribute to making this event a success for the 20 finalist teams.
